Hello, my name is Judith N. Mukhamba (Judy) and I am a teacher in a school in Bukokholo, Kenya. Our school is in the same district Bungoma as Rev. Wasike's school. With only 20 km separating our communities, we are practically neighbours.
In our school, we have a 150 children under our care. The greater number of the children are orphans. Our goal is to teach illiteracy to all our children in the hope that this will help them to live good lives in the future.

Were happy to have you here and were looking forward to hearing more about your school.
You say that Rev. Wasike is about 20km from you, have you ever met before? How many teachers do you have in your school?
I cannot imagine the challenges you must face, and the gratification gained by doing such important work. I teach media skills to 500 inner city children in 20 classes here at Nelson Mandela Park Public School here in Toronto, Canada. We would love to see your students' work and in the spirit of global communication and "getting to know our neighbors" we would be very interested in corresponding, on this blog. Welcome!
